APS is a distressed assets investment company and debt recovery platform with a prime position in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Our business consists of acquiring, advising, and servicing non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios. We provide full spectrum of portfolio operations ranging from third-party servicing and management for institutional investors to purchasing entire portfolios.

We are looking for a transaction lawyer, ideally a qualified advocate with solid experience in commercial and finance law.

What will you do?

• Legal support of investment transactions with focus on financing and acquisition documentation, supporting the business team in all stages of project
• Drafting contracts (SPAs, loan agreements, security agreements, service level agreements, confidentiality agreements etc.)
• Legal advice in relation to all aspects of the business of APS Group
• Corporate law support to group entities
• Independent work on own projects
• Preparation of legal memoranda
• Cooperation with external legal advisors (both national and international)
• Monitoring of legal environment
• Communication with local and international authorities and offices

What do we expect from you?

• Master of law degree
• Previous professional experience of minimum 5 years in a reputable law firm including international projects
• Excellent knowledge of Romanian law, especially corporate, contract law, and investment funds
• Experience in an international firm or investment fund is an advantage
• Romanian Bar exams
• Fluent English (oral and written)
• Team player but also able to work independently
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Attention to detail
